GUARDIAN ANGELS FOUNDATION CALLS TO LOVE LIFE

AND SUICIDE PREVENTION

September 10 was established by the World Health Organization as World Day for prevention of suicide as a way to draw attention to one of the main causes of premature death worldwide. To raise awareness, on this date an orange tape is placed to make a call for the love of life and distribute information to provide the tools that offer the risk indicators. In the Dominican Republic is being widely disseminated to raise awareness of the love of life and to prevent the statistics continue to increase.

Last year (2013), according to the National Statistics Office (ONE), about 567 people in our country decided to take their lives. The Guardian Angels Foundation, whose mission is to celebrate life and work for suicide prevention, provides information on the signs of risk and recommendations for individuals, families and friends who are going through this situation.

Currently the Foundation counts with  the path of Life, a project whose purpose is to create the campaign «I love and value my life», where people learn to love, to value and find  thousands of reasons to take care of ourselves.
